Color me mine

Arts and crafts supplies for kids that don’t stink…well…kind of

I would love nothing more than to spend a leisurely afternoon in a Color Me Mine store, sipping tea, painting mugs and vases without a care in the world. Unfortunately I can’t. I have a job. I gotta bring home the bacon, and unless they pay me for my pottery and crafting expertise I’ll just have to find another way to express myself artistically…like with these Silly Scents Arts & Crafts Crayons from Nasco Arts & Crafts.

Organic pillow fight

This buckwheat pillow and organic bedding is A o-tay!

When I first heard of The Clean Bedroom website, I thought they’d send people to actually come in and clean my bedroom. Unfortunately for me, that’s not really what they do, but I did find a pretty sweet supply of organic bedding like these Buckwheat pillows.

Beer breath

corona candy mints

Sit back and relax with icy cold bulk beer breath candy

Who needs a Lifesaver when you can have icy cool beer breath? I don’t drink much, but I do love a fresh mouth. So when I feel my breath is less than minty fresh, I reach for a roll of mah mah mah my Corona Mints. You won’t find retro and bulk candy cooler than at the Candy Warehouse.

Why so serious?

Joke ‘em if you got ‘em with this lookalike Joker Collectible Figurine

I’m a goner for a killer smile. I’m still crushing on Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker from this summer’s mega hit Batman: The Dark Knight. Having this Joker Collectible Figurine on my desk reminds me to not take life so seriously.

Trick or treat, smell my feet

Popcorn tins, fruit gift baskets and treats, oh my!

Halloween is almost here, and I want candy. My personal trainer would probably advise against it, but what he doesn’t know can’t hurt me. I’m too old to trick or treat, and I can’t steal candy from my son’s Halloween stash, so I’m trick and treating myself with this Trick or Treat Poprickle Halloween Popcorn Tin from Hale Groves. Get off my back, I’m ordering a super healthy Fruit Gift Basket overflowing with healthy oranges full of Vitamin C to go along with it. Read the rest of this entry »

Say I do, to shopping

Shop ’til you drop for wedding reception ideas

I promise to love, honor and obey my husband, as long as he promises to hand over all his credit cards and hold my purse while I’m in the fitting room trying on designer clothes for all eternity. The ultimate in quirky wedding reception ideas, this Gone Shopping Wedding Cake Topper from Marilyn’s Keepsakes should’ve topped the cake of my wedding. I am a Shopaholic after all. Party in my Crib Baby

cool baby onesie

Baby rock clothes for your rockin’ baby

I know this cool baby who is an insomniac. Instead of laying in bed staring at a lame sheep mobile all night, this baby is having a soirée. While Mom and Dad are getting their 1.5 hours of sleep, they’ll be partying in their crib with all their peeps, and you can bet your bottom diaper they’ll be wearing this Cool Baby Onesie from TheRetroBaby.com.

Drop Your Drawers Here

Have the last word with decorative wall word quotes

My kids don’t always listen to me, so sometimes I need a little extra help. After 13 years my son still didn’t know where the laundry hamper was. I found his dirty underwear and socks everywhere. Then I enlisted the help of Wall Words. With their aid I was able to put up a Decorative Wall Quote reminding my son where to drop his drawers.

I’m on a diet Mac

Organic foods online rock my vegetarian world

I’m proud to be a Vegetarian. I treat my body like the temple it is and stay away from foods that have a face, or foods that are overly processed. That doesn’t mean I don’t get the odd craving for one of my old childhood staples every now and then. I get all my Organic Foods Online at Hodgson Mill, because I can pick up some old school food favorites made healthy like this yummy Whole Wheat Mac and Cheese. Read the rest of this entry »

It ain’t Rocket Science

dune hardcover book

They blinded me with the Science Fiction Book Club

A co-worker just asked me what my favorite Science Fiction novel was. I said Dune by Frank Herbert, of course. Then I got to thinking…It’s been awhile, my favorite sci fi book certainly deserves a re-read. So I picked up a brand spanking new copy at the Science Fiction Book Club. Better yet, I have more of sci fi fantasy’s best coming every month! Read the rest of this entry »
