camping fire starter

Camping fire starter gets your camp fire started in seconds

I’m a survivor.

When I go camping, I camp kick it back old school. Most campers would consider me a camping purist. I don’t believe in smuggling in luxury items like electronic devices, cushy bedding or toilet paper, and who needs matches or lighters?! I am man, I make fire!

When enjoying the great outdoors I rely on three simple things…

1. My survival instincts.

2. A handful of soft leaves.

3. This Camp Fire Starter from Big Edge Camping & Hiking.

This Light My Fire Maya Dust Fire starter helps you light camp fires with ease no matter what the weather conditions are. Even Charlie McGee (Drew Barrymore’s character in “Firestarter”) would be jealous.

This Mayan Dust is made from authentic “Pino de Ocote” - a fatwood pine cultivated in the highlands of Guatemala and Mexico.  You’ll have no problem generating heat thanks to its 80% resin conent, and since it’s from the heart of the ancient Mayan Empire, it isn’t cheating. Use it with a steel flint or knock yourself out by rubbing two sticks together.

DID YOU KNOW? Jason Voorhees from the camp slasher film Friday the 13th wore a hockey mask to conceal a really bad complexion.

Easy to light, even when wet, this stuff is packed in a convenient waterproof case that is easy to travel with and produces a white hot flame that will roast those campfire weenies and s’mores to perfection.

Eat my fire dust.

Features:

- Lights even when wet
- Comes in handy plastic “snuff box” packaging
- Packs maximum heat energy for minimal weight
- Price: $7.01

I completed went camping this autumn and that starter kit would definitely come in handy, instead of messing around with some matches and damp twigs.

I like this puristic camping stuff much more than this thousands of devices other campers carry with them. This Mayan Dust rocks!

Got something to say?
