Canine fitness is a walk away with fun canine treadmills

My dog and I do everything together. We wake up together, take walks in the park together and we work out together, especially when bikini season is soon approaching. We want to look good when we hit the dog beach, so we’ve been following a sensible diet, taking multi-vitamins and amping up our fitness routines. All animal trainers agree, there is no better way to diminish puppy gut than by increasing their cardio 3-5 days a week on these Canine Fitness Treadmills from Hammacher Schlemmer.

Have a dog that just had puppies? Give her the exercise she needs indoors with canine treadmills that will help her return to her svelte, pre-baby figure. Whether they’re depressed over the economy, suffering from a break-up or just bingeing on too many high-calorie treats, they’ll say goodbye to those unwanted pounds with every step they take.

Featuring a sturdy rubber belt that is soft on tender paws, super silent motor, side rails that help your dog focus and a recessed treat holder, Sparky will be jogging along, sweatin’ to the Oldies in no time.

DID YOU KNOW?  Dogs under 8 lbs should not be “outside” dogs, and dogs weighing 50 lbs should not be exclusively “inside” dogs.  Dogs weighing 100 lbs can pretty much hang wherever they want.

We don’t always have the time to walk our dogs on long luxurious strolls, and weather conditions may not allow us to even when we do have the time. Now dog owners are able to conveniently maintain consistent levels of exercise for their pets, even if it’s raining cats and dogs outside.

Most pets will benefit from 45 minutes of moderate activity on models that include handy training guidelines.  Available in Small, Medium or Large sizes (depending on how big your best friend is). The Small treadmill pictured is for toy breeds and dogs up to 30 lbs and operates at speeds from 0.3 to 5 mph. Speed, distance, and incline can be adjusted using simple controls.

Doesn’t your dog deserve to go from flab to fab?

- Includes training guidelines
- Available in Small, Medium and Large sizes
- Price: $549.95 (for Small)

I wonder if we’ll be seeing this on the Dog Whisperer any time soon?

whoa i’m not sure if that tradmill is a good idea or not, i’m not even sure if my dog would go near that.

LOL! Seems like another one of those absurd inventions. I don’t have a dog but my cat would absolutely hate such a thing. He likes to run around in the open and I’m sure the same would go for dogs. Only humans can bear to torture themselves by using treadmills. Personally I think its a really boring way to keep in shape.
