10. Face paint
While many of us may not have the gumption to paint our face to match our team’s colors, here’s a quick shout out for those that do. I can only assume there are special face paints for this kind of thing; if not, it’s going to be a long week at the office.
9. Authentic team jersey
Tried and true, there’s no better way to show support than slapping on your team’s jersey the day of the game. Of course, if things don’t go well it can be a long drive home, but that’s a chance we’re willing to take. Win or lose, we have our team jersey and we’re standing proud, dang it!
8. Body suit
Scary yes, but you’ve got to hand it to ‘em. Anyone with the nerve to wear a spandex-like full body suit to a sporting event warrants a certain measure of respect. Well, maybe not respect, but at least dumb-struck admiration.
7. Chest painting to spell names
This certainly belongs on a Top Ten list of sports wear, if for no other reason than it promotes camaraderie. Pulling this one off requires several people, all of the same ilk, and precise seating arrangements. One quick trip to the restroom, and the whole group suffers. Now that’s sacrifice.
6. Foam finger
Cheesy? Yes. But if you’ve ever been in a stadium packed full of people waving their over-sized foam fingers proclaiming “We Are Number One!” loud and proud, you know why The Finger has made the list. Not quite awe-inspiring, but a spectacle nonetheless.
And if a standard foam finger isn’t big enough to show your team spirit, consider a full body custom foam finger! Now THAT’S spirit!
5. Headgear
Not the kind of headgear your Mom forced you to make certain the expensive teeth-straightening procedure took. No, this refers to the myriad of headgear options you see sports fans across the globe don on gameday. Green Bay has their cheeseheads, Pittsburgh their hard hats and Chicago their old-school, faux leather helmets, to name but a few.
4. Kids team outfits
What better way to make sporting events a day of family frivolity than getting the youngsters involved with miniature jerseys and cheerleading outfits. This actually serves a dual purpose; one is the aforementioned family fun, the other is you are less likely to get harassed by the opposing team’s fans when there are kids around. Cheer together, and avoid instigating a riot, a perfect combination.
3. Old school jersey
Sporting your team’s jersey, Top Ten list #9, is undoubtedly a step in the right direction. Going old school takes jersey-wearing to an entirely different level. You’ve immediately differentiated yourself, saying to the masses “don’t talk to me about bandwagons; I’ve been following my team since the advent of radio.”
2. Nothing (or very little anyway)
Wearing little or nothing to a sporting event instantly sets you apart, doing so when its 14 degrees below zero should earn you the right to free beer throughout the contest; and that includes overtime. Though, if you’re cheering on your team while close to naked in the freezing cold, there’s a good chance additional beers will do more harm than good.

Sports fans – real fans – live, breathe, and dress their team spirit, even when it’s not game day. Team logo jewlery, from necklaces and bracelets, to handsome sports cufflinks for him, are a great way to add a touch of “go team” to work and meetings.
