10. Buy a wig
Buy several of them. You can change your hairstyle with a high fashion wig as easily as you change your shoes. This is particularly good if you are running from the law and need many disguises. Okay, just joking.
9. Highlights and low lights
Buy a hair highlighting kit and put some highlights, low lights, streaks, or whatever you want to call it in your hair. Or add some red to your locks. You do not have to be a master hair stylist to do this. Confine the streaks to the front or put them all over. You can go for the chunky look or be more discreet and lightly highlight. It’s good to change it up once in a while. If you screw up, that’s when you call the master hairstylist.
8. Extensions and additions
Buy a funky or elegant clip in hair piece, pull your hair back and up and attach the piece. This will give you more volume. Of course, it’s doubtful that anyone is going to mistake it for real hair but who cares, particularly if the hairpiece has purple strands in it. You already KNOW that you’re not fooling anyone. You’re having one of those break-out-of-the-mold days, and you can make that evident by your freaky, faux hair.
7. Shave
Shave your head. Or conversely curl the hair that you have. Instead of always wearing your hair straight get your Little Orphan Annie groove going on. Buy some hot rollers and roll your hair the old fashion way. Get out the curling iron. Going from straight to curly will definitely get you noticed.
6. Pull it back
Push your hair behind your ears for a change of pace. Show off your ears and earrings. You might discover that pushing your hair back and away from your face is flattering and makes you look younger. You don’t always have to style your hair the same exact way.
5. Ornaments
Use some hair jewelry. Try a sparkly hair comb or wear head band or spice up your hair with a jeweled hair clip. All of these hair accessories add pizzazz to your humdrum hairstyle, and they are functional. They keep your hair out of your face and eyes.
4. Part it differently
Change your part. If you always part your hair in the center, try parting it on the left or the right side.
3. Braid it
Braid your hair. You can opt for one long braid down the back or pig tails or braid sections of the hair around your face. This is a hippie-girl look, free spirited style that is really cute.
2. Bangs
Sweep your bangs to the right or to the left or part them in the middle. Alternatively, cut bangs if you don’t already have them. Maybe it’s been a long time since you’ve had them but bangs can come in quite handy. If you have forehead wrinkles or zits or anything that you would prefer not to parade around in the front of the world, bangs are your ticket. What’s behind that curtain of bangs? You’ll never know.
1. Pull it up

If you have long hair and always wear it down, well, duh, wear it up for a change. Put it in a ponytail either situated high on the back of your head or low slung at the nape of your neck. Use a volumizing styling product and a quality brush to get the maximum movement in your hair. The ponytail has had a resurgence recently. Many of the big names in Hollywood have walked the red carpet with their hair coifed in a ponytail.
