10. Horse track management
Mint julep recipes and Derby hat recommendations aren’t the only things needed to manage a horse racing track. The University of Arizona offers a Race Track Industry Program with courses in track management and marketing, animal care and racing laws. And no one misses class by oversleeping with that post-horn alarm clock.

You may have to pull some strings to get accepted into the Puppet Arts Program at the University of Connecticut, the only school offering both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the ancient art form. Humber College in Toronto, Canada, offers a degree in Comedy Writing & Performance with training in stand-up, scriptwriting, sketch performance and other aspects of the funny business. The college works in conjunction with Yuk Yuk’s International and Second City. Although there’s a tuition, classes in stand-up comedy do not have a two-drink minimum.
