10. Horse track management
Mint julep recipes and Derby hat recommendations aren’t the only things needed to manage a horse racing track. The University of Arizona offers a Race Track Industry Program with courses in track management and marketing, animal care and racing laws. And no one misses class by oversleeping with that post-horn alarm clock.

You may have to pull some strings to get accepted into the Puppet Arts Program at the University of Connecticut, the only school offering both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the ancient art form. Students can weld friendships with other blacksmiths by joining the Southern Illinois Metalsmiths Society.

Students learn essential oil therapy that can be used in massage therapy or holistic health care. If you’re interested in creating your own aromatic oil mixes, this is a degree than makes scents.
2. Comedy
A college degree is nothing to laugh at … unless it’s in comedy. Comedians do make it a career. Humber College in Toronto, Canada, offers a degree in Comedy Writing & Performance with training in stand-up, scriptwriting, sketch performance and other aspects of the funny business. The college works in conjunction with Yuk Yuk’s International and Second City. Although there’s a tuition, classes in stand-up comedy do not have a two-drink minimum.
