10. Spicy Crab Dip
Most people have a love it or hate it relationship with seafood; not many people are like, “Eh, it’s okay”. People tend to associate seafood with high-class, hoity-toity functions. Show off your cultured side by combining one block of softened cream cheese with a dash of hot sauce, 2 chopped green onions, and a small can of white crab meat. You can use artificial crab chunks, but they won’t taste as good. Shell out a few extra bucks for the real stuff.
9. Buffalo Chicken Dip
What’s better than hot wings? A dip that tastes exactly like them, of course. You’ll need 2 blocks of softened cream cheese, one can or pouch of chopped chicken breast, a dash of hot sauce, 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, and ¼ cup of ranch dressing. Combine all ingredients, except cheese, in a large bowl. Pour into an oven-safe dish and top with shredded cheese. Cook at 325 degrees for 30 – 40 minutes.
8. Chocolate Fruit Dip
Nobody can resist chocolate, especially hot, melted chocolate. Yum. Melt one bag of high-quality semisweet chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream and blend well. Serve with sliced bananas, cherries, strawberries, and anything else you find laying around the house. Anything tastes good when you dunk it in chocolate.
7. Cinnamon Yogurt Fruit Dip
This is one of the easiest dips you will ever make. Dump a few containers of vanilla yogurt into a decorative serving bowl. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve with fresh fruit or graham crackers. Enjoy!
6. Easy Onion Soup Dip
What goes perfectly with potato chips? This dip right here. Dump a packet of onion soup mix into a container of sour cream and stir well. Yep, it’s that easy. If you really want to go all out, add a handful of chopped green onions.
5. Nacho Cheese Dip
Head to your local grocery store and grab a jar of this tasty treat from the Mexican or snack food aisle. Heat, serve, and bask in the praise of your guests. Okay, maybe that’s cheating. Heat 2 cups of cheddar cheese and 1 cup of heavy whipping cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Add a dash of hot sauce, if you wish. Serve with tortilla chips.
4. Black Bean Dip
Black bean dip is perfect for vegans, vegetarians, and folks who are lactose-intolerant. Heat a can of black beans over medium-high heat. Add a dash of garlic powder, onion powder, and garlic salt. Stir in chopped onions and green peppers. Mash with a fork and serve in a Mexican-inspired bowl. This also makes a delicious burrito or quesadilla filling.
3. Salsa Cream Cheese Dip
As you may have noticed, cream cheese transforms pretty much anything into a tasty party dip. Dump a jar of your favorite salsa on a brick of softened cream cheese and stir well. Top with fresh cilantro for a “homemade” touch.
2. Roasted Garlic Dip
This dip can be made with only one ingredient, unless you like a bit of salt to bring out the flavor of the garlic. Roast 4 heads of garlic in an oven at 400 degrees for 25 – 35 minutes. Use a Magic Bullet, blender, or food processor to puree the garlic. Serve with bread wedges or crackers.
