10. Speeches
When the best man gives an abomination of a wedding toast at the reception and everyone visibly cringes. This man is not going to get the toastmaster of the year award.
9. Spills
The bride trips and falls on her face or caboose as she walks down the aisle. Smile, pretend like you did it on purpose, get up, dust yourself off, push the veil out of your eyes and move on down that aisle toward the man of your dreams.
8. Fainting
The groom (or bride) or any member of the bridal party faints at the altar. Worse yet is when the faint is preceded by vomit. Nasty, nasty, nasty!
7. Missing guests
The bride’s or groom’s parents refuse to attend the wedding and everyone is acutely aware of their absence. Nothing says family support like an empty church pew on your big day.
6. Too much party
The bride finds out that the bachelor party got a little randy and the groom slept with the maid of honor and all hell breaks loose. There is no engagement ring in the world big enough to make up for this gaffe.
5. Unexpected arrival
The very pregnant bride’s water breaks and she goes into labor. The vows are exchanged in the labor and delivery room. Not exactly what the bride (or groom) had in mind. Time to for the guests to shift gears and start shopping for baby presents!
4. Objection
When someone actually responds when the minister says “Speak now or forever hold your peace,” this has got the makings of some trouble. Does this only happen on soap operas?
3. Backing out
The bride and groom both show up but half way through the ceremony one or the other gets cold feet and runs. You know, the Runaway Bride (or groom) syndrome.
2. Raid
The police (or, worse yet, the FBI and a SWAT team) arrives at the church and arrests, the bride or the groom in the middle of the ceremony, taking them away in all the shoddy pomp and circumstance of handcuffs and shackles. Can you say hoosegow?

When the bride or groom fails to show up at the appointed time on the appointed day, this is never a good sign. Someone’s got pie on their face and someone else has got a lot of ‘splaining to do. How low can you go? This is about as bad as it gets.
