Friendly Advice
Today's friendly advice is about;

Active Seniors

The attitudes towards aging are changing as more people stay healthy longer than their parents did, and also more active as they grow older. The Internet is a fantastic resource for information and assistance with both the issues and opportunities now offered to active seniors. Managing finances on a retirement income while enjoying "the golden years" is easier with good advice from those who have experience. Planning for health concerns, retirement, and learning how to survive senior independent living are just some of the many challenges aging creates. Growing older comes with its own concerns, but also has special rewards. Stay one of the many active seniors online with a wealth of feature articles, travel, health care info here at Catalogs.com

Senior Living

Of all the senior living households headed by someone 55+ who move each year, one in seven (14 percent) moves to an age-restricted community. Another 20 percent (or one in five) move to communities where the majority of people are 55 and older, but are not age-restricted. In senior living households just 75+ who move each year, we find that 30 percent move to age-restricted housing, and another 23 percent move into communities where the majority of people are 55+, but are not age-restricted. Since nursing homes and some assisted living residences are not included in these statistics, he actual percentage of 75+ households who move to age-restricted housing is higher than reported here.

This research data comes from the biennial "American Housing Survey of the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development."
