Educational games for the preschool age youngster have come a long way since the sock puppet!

At a pre-k level, kids can start learning about the sciences and the arts…and love every minute of it. They can also just enjoy some good old-fashion family time with a “memory” or “counting” board game.

Listed below are five online stores that feature their own distinctive line of preschool education games. So let the games begin for eager little minds.

The best part it is – it is quality time you can spend with your child. Some of the old classics just can’t be replaced with new electronic gadgets or television.

Even these magnetic building blocks have been constructed from a sustainable sourced and harvested hardwood with non-toxic water base finishes. (Whew…that’s a mouthful!) So if organic and eco-friendly products are high on your list, Julabug is the store for you.

Games and puzzles

Lots of learning

One of the best of preschool education games

Puzzles and preschool games from Maukilo European Toys build color and shape recognition and memory skills. Preschoolers respond to bright colors and anything they can touch and manipulate, so look for large pieces and engaging shapes. Combining luck with skill is a great wait to teach sportsmanship and social skills as well.

it’s really important that we expose our kids to educational games like building blocks, I remember my 3 years old daughter received a book with magnetic dinosaurs inside… she began asking me what are the names of each dinosaurs… she’s now memorizing it after we researched the names in the internet.

The art we view as young people, on the walls in our home, in our church, on our toys is art that we re-recognize as adults. Give your young children excellent art to view from early on. Art toys that feature art through history will not only enrich but will expand their life view. Art through history opens all kinds of questions about where? what? why? and How? Great beginings are art through history playing cards and memory game cards especially if the art on them has children in them. If they use them enough, the images stick and they will find themselves having developed a real sense of art appreciation for the rest of their lives. Excellent art like excellent music lifts us. You know when its good and you know when its not good. Why not opt for great. Check museum stores for simple image games or make your own.
