1- The Empire State Building and The Statue of Liberty

The Empire State building was considered an example of the most modern architecture of the day. In the final scenes of the film, King Kong, the poor ape hangs from a tower atop the building. Did you know that tower was no prop, and was originally constructed as a docking device for dirigibles? There are also more than 10 million bricks in the Empire State building. Did you know that?

Some of the most interesting facts about america concern Lady Liberty. In high winds, the statue has been known to sway up to 3 inches and the torch can move up to five inches! Bet you didnít know that three people since 1929 have taken their lives in plunges from the statue!
