We all have certain scents and smells that we find pleasing to experience.
Some of us love the smell of gasoline or the smell of sweat. While we may not understand why some of those smells attract certain people and repel others, there appear to be some that almost everyone likes. Just because we want you to be able to figure out those scents before you go out in public with skunk smell plastered on you, we’ve brought you the top ten pleasing aromas.
10. Pizza Cooking
Before you continue reading about the Pleasing Aromas there is a special announcement we would like to share with you. Catalogs.com has negotiated special medicare rates for our vibrant community of seniors. If you are over the age of 60, you can head over to our Seniors Health Section which is full of information about medicare. All you need is your zip code and a few minutes of your time to potentially save 100s of dollars on your medicare bills.
There is a reason that pizzerias are so popular. People love the smell of this particular food cooking. The combination of Italian cheeses, tomato sauce and meats or veggies all baking up fresh and hot.
This is another one of those scents that almost everyone likes. This is also a scent that can be a bit overpowering if you’re not careful. but there are plenty of vanilla-scented candles and diffusers that have found just the right mix.
8. Apple Pie
Speaking of smells that everyone loves to have coming out the kitchen … apple pie is an aroma that everyone can immediately identify and loves. It’s hard to say exactly why this scent is one that always gets mouths watering. Is it the apples, the cinnamon or the combo?
7. Pumpkin Pie
Another pie scent that makes mouths water and reminds everyone about the best parts of fall. The leaves turn brown and orange, the scenery turns beautiful and Thanksgiving is on the way. There aren’t many people who don’t love this smell.
I don’t know what it says us about us as a culture but quite a few of the most pleasing aromas around are those that come from sweets. Despite the fact that people in general seem to have a bit of a sweet tooth, there’s really no reason to pretend that we don’t all love the smell of good chocolate. Whether you’re talking about warm chocolate like hot cocoa or just a regular freshly opened candy bar, there are few smells better.
One of the only scents on this list that isn’t tied to food. This is another one of those scents that can actually be a bit overpowering if you get too much. Evergreen trees have a scent that other trees just aren’t able to copy. Of course there are ways to get the smell without having to have some evergreen trees in your living room. There are spruce candles and evergreen room sprays you can get that will get you the same experience.
4. Cut Grass
This really isn’t a scent you can get anywhere but somewhere that actually has cut grass. I’m sure there are items that make something that is supposed to smell like it but you can’t do better than the real thing.
3. The Ocean
This is yet another scent that you really can’t reproduce. You need to actually hit the ocean and get the combined scents that hit your nose when you walk around the beach.
This particular flower is well loved when it comes to smells. The perfume of lavender is one of the top aromas around when you aren’t talking about food smells.
Popular Savings Offers
Another flower that has a delicate perfume that just makes people happy and content. While too much of this can come off as too perfumey, a fragrance that features lilac as one note among many, or just walking through a lilac field or having a bouquet in your house will allow you to smell on of the most pleasing aromas around.
