This is an intermediate pose involving standing on one leg, balancing with the arm on the same side of the body, and reaching toward the sky. It opens up the body.

This pose requires a bit of balance. The body balances completely on the hands as the knees come up to then balance on the elbows.

Sanskrit: Bhujangasana

This pose opens up your body as you arc toward the sky with the top half of your body while your hips stay firmly level with the floor. No balancing, just stretching like the Child?s Pose.

This is the pose most often associated with Yoga. The practitioner sits with their legs folded in a crossed-leg position with their wrists gently resting on the knees. Eyes closed.
