For example, you should never force eye contact with some who doesn’t seem to want it, this can come off as very aggressive. Rather, make eye contact when speaking or listening to someone who speaks directly to you and feel free to disengage after a period of silence. Lingering eye contact can be awkward.

Don’t Fidget

After sitting in one place for a period of time it can be difficult to avoid various forms of fidgeting. Little actions such as drumming your fingers or tapping your foot can project an image of impatience and insecurity. On the other hand, sitting still projects an image of patience and maturity.

This is one of the easiest ways to improve your body language as it only requires that you forgo unnecessary little movements during periods of inactivity.
